ALZHEIMER'S PROJECT

I had the pleasure of working with the lovely folks at Strange Beast for many months while directing 5 instructional films that explained the different stages of a treatment for Alzheirmer's using a newly developed medication. Apart from conveying all the steps with clarity and care, another main goal was to create an overall sense of warmth, calm and hope.

The above is a director's cut with some of my favorite moments from those films. The song used on this cut is Emerald Ash, by Golden Brown.

Role: Animation Director and Designer.

INTRO & OUTRO

Each of the 5 films is set in a different environment: the doctor's office, the research lab, the medical center, the hospital and, finally, home.

We worked with the imagery of a sun that kindly opens to reveal a charming dollhouse version of those locations, inviting us to discover the world our main character Lizzie navigates during her treatment.
